Shark counting in the Galapagos

Do you want to become a “citizen scientist” and help monitor marine life in the Galapagos?

Great! The Shark Count app allows you to help us count the sharks, rays, sea turtles, and sunfish you encounter during your dives.

Shark Count Galapagos was developed by the Aquatic Biotelemetry Laboratory at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), the College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry at the State University of New York (SUNY-ESF), Galapagos Conservancy (GC), and Upstream PBC, with support from the Galapagos National Park Directorate and funding from the Samuel Freeman Charitable Trust and other GC donors.

This document gives you more information about the project.

We thank you in advance for your help!
